This was drawn to be added to an article in the PURDUE ALUMNUS magazine. It was stopped because back then the PAA thought the message with the bank guy was that a Purdue degree was expensive.
Well it’s not unrealistic that the bank guy is part of a grads college life. While in-state tuition has been frozen, I’m sure that is a real life picture of many out of state students lives at Purdue. Great pic!
And I would wager that their "average debt per 2022 Purdue graduate was $11,373" stat includes those who graduated without debt to drive the number down.
Dave, very appropriate cartoon that tells the truth. Yes, Mitch did freeze tuition, but a degree is still expensive .

So true… but they could’ve just asked me to remove the banker!!!! Geeshh…
So how are you doing?
Good I hope!
Dave
Thanks Christa!!
Why didn’t they have me remove the banker….it could have been used. Crazy
Dave,
Oh, those halcyon days of when the "elders" were so afraid of the truth...
...now, it seems to be the younguns, with their helicopter parents, are the ones afraid of reality today.
LOL....they tryng to pull the wool over someone's eyes? It never felt inexpensive when my kids were attending.

Censorship at its finest!!!!!
Completely accurate
Hahaha! Thanks for sharing, Dave.
The Purdue Alumni Association thought the Loan Officer implied that Purdue was expensive? I think the stats speak for themselves: https://www.purdue.edu/newsroom/2023/Q2/fact-sheet-student-debt-at-purdue-university/
48% of students graduate with debt.
And I would wager that their "average debt per 2022 Purdue graduate was $11,373" stat includes those who graduated without debt to drive the number down.
Great cartoon and so relevant . Keep them coming. Christa Keck
